App Terms of Service

1. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms apply to the mobile app branded as LittleLion, initially listed on Google Play as Shih Tzu Care Journal. The app is operated by Grainwise Studio with Animal Smartland as the related content and support brand.

By using the app, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you have read the App Privacy Policy.

The app is intended for adult pet owners. If you are under the age required to accept digital service terms in your country, use the app only with a parent or legal guardian.

2. What the App Does

LittleLion helps you record and organize pet care information, including pet profiles, photos, journal notes, weight entries, care tasks, reminders, documents, emergency details and visit preparation artifacts.

The current app is local-first and works without an account. Some Pro tools may unlock additional local workflows such as extra profiles, Vet Visit Briefing export, advanced charts, care history tools, document vault, emergency card sharing and reusable reminder templates.

3. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter into the app.
• You must have the right to store or import any photos, documents or other content you add.
• You are responsible for checking dates, reminder schedules and exported documents before relying on them.
• You are responsible for keeping exported backups, PDFs and shared files private after they leave the app.
• You must not use the app in a way that violates law, infringes others' rights or attempts to disrupt the app or its store services.

4. No Veterinary Advice

App content, templates, charts, reminders, breed-specific suggestions and generated artifacts are for organization and preparation only. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.

Measurements, body condition records, photos, care heatmaps and summaries can help you prepare questions for a veterinarian, but they do not diagnose illness or determine a treatment plan. Always contact a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions.

5. Reminders and Notifications

Reminders are convenience features. System notifications may be delayed, hidden, blocked or removed by device settings, operating system behavior, battery restrictions, permission choices, device restarts or app updates.

Do not rely on LittleLion as the only source for urgent medication, treatment, emergency care, appointment timing or legally required pet care records.

6. Backups, Exports and Sharing

The app may let you export local backups, PDFs, photos, emergency cards or other artifacts. Manual backup exports are unencrypted ZIP files unless the app explicitly says otherwise at the time of export.

Android Auto Backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app-private data. Manual backup/export remains the user's explicit action.

Once you save or share a file outside the app, you are responsible for that copy. Deleting data in LittleLion does not automatically delete copies stored in cloud drives, email, messaging apps, printouts or other locations.

7. Purchases and Pro Access

If Pro access is offered, purchase and restore flows are handled by the relevant app store, such as Google Play on Android. Store checkout screens may show the final price, taxes, currency, renewal terms if any, refund rules and payment method details.

A Pro Lifetime purchase, when available, unlocks the listed Pro features for as long as LittleLion supports that version of Pro access and the relevant store account confirms or restores the purchase. It does not include future cloud storage, AI services or other ongoing-cost services unless the app explicitly says they are included.

Refunds, cancellations and payment disputes are handled under the rules of the store where you purchased the app feature. We do not receive your full payment card details.

8. Future Cloud, AI or Subscription Features

Future optional cloud sync, caregiver sharing, AI transcription, AI photo observations, OCR, conversational features or subscriptions may have additional terms, limits, prices and privacy controls. Those features are not included in the current local-first app unless they are explicitly shown in the app and accepted by you.

9. Third-Party Services

The app may interact with third-party services such as Google Play, Firebase, Android system services, file pickers, system share sheets, the Animal Smartland website and YouTube. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Animal Smartland content and YouTube videos are educational resources and are not veterinary advice.

10. App Changes and Availability

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue features. During development and early release, features may change as we improve reliability, safety, billing, privacy controls, platform support and store compliance.

We try to avoid unnecessary disruption to local user data, but you should keep your own backups of important records.

11. Intellectual Property

LittleLion, app design, app text, generated app templates, brand elements and Animal Smartland materials are owned by us or our licensors. You keep your rights to photos, notes, documents and other content you add to the app.

You may use the app for personal pet care organization. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, redistribute or misuse the app except where allowed by law or open source license terms for included third-party components.

12. Disclaimers

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for every pet care situation.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, missed reminders, veterinary outcomes, or issues caused by incorrect user-entered information, device settings, third-party services or files shared outside the app.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. You may delete local app data through app features where available, system app settings, or by uninstalling the app. We may restrict access to online or store-dependent features if required for security, abuse prevention, platform compliance or legal reasons.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable Polish law, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide you with additional rights that cannot be waived by contract.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be shown in the app before you continue using affected features.
